The Twin Cities Football District is one of the 19 football districts created to begin play in Fall 2015 to replace football conferences in Minnesota High School Football. 

The 28 football programs come from 32 Twin Cities Metropolitan Area Schools representing some of the state's oldest and most storied programs and includes members of the Minneapolis City Athletic Conference, the St. Paul City Athletic Conference, the Tri-Metro Conference, and the Independent Metro Athletic Conference.

The District has been divided into three divisions and six competitive subdistricts for 2019-2020:
